MIKE BUSS IS BACK!
After a two year break from breaking records Mike Buss is back and ready to smash his way through the record books yet again! Mike has taken two years off from competing for family and is ready to get right back into things. Mike has already set a new course record at the Highworth 5mile earlier in April and is set to break 20 world records beginning in the Autumn of this year where Mike is inviting some of Swindon's top runners to join him to break Runners World Magazines 24hr team relay treadmill distance world record at the Nightingale Hotel in South Marston.
Mike is using the Back in a Flash 5km as his launch pad to announce he is back and ready to prove to the world, he is the world fittest! Mike has previously broken over 30 world records including cycling non-stop for 4days (96hrs). Mike will be entering all of the Grass Roots Events Races this year and throughout 2010 where Mike is looking to break World records at each of these races.
Mikes biggest challenge in 2010 will be running non-stop for 6days round the County Ground Running Track whilst carrying a 40lb pack.
Mike is aiming to raise at least £100,000 over the next 12 months and has an aim to raise £500,000 in total from his record breaking attempts which includes an accent on Everest in the next 4yrs. The charity Mike is raising money for is Help for Heroes, when asked why he chose this particular charity Mike replied “I servered with the British Army for several years and where I also served operationally, it was during operations in N. Ireland that I was medically discharged for loss of hearing in my left ear due to an explosion”
