End of the Line:        On 5th November 1962 British Railways, under the liaison with Doctor Beaching,
                                 closed the Helston Branch Line to Passenger Traffic and in two years the whole line
                       had gone. Likewise Keith Gowen has decided that after 25 years of exhibiting
                        his 3mm scale layout through out the country he too will terminate activities after the above dates.
                       
The layout will live on, as it has been bequeathed to the Helston Folk Museum,
                         perhaps a fitting tribute considering very little remains in Helston of their railway station.
                 
                  When Keith started his model little did he realise the Helston Railway Society would be formed
                       and today has cleared more than half a mile of trackbed near the Trevarno Gardens Estate.
