Walk, Planning Meeting and Meal

Winchester Family Church Centre, Stanmore Lane, Winchester

Meet 14:00 for walk or 16:00 onwards for planning meeting

4 miles

Our planning meeting will be again be held at the Winchester Family Church Centre in Stanmore (post code SO22 4BT) where there is plenty of parking on site.

Walk - for those who want to stretch their legs before the meeting, Linda will be leading a walk in the area.

Planning meeting - will start around 16.00 and finish at 18:30.  Please come along at any time within those 2.5 hours – and if you want to plan and lead a walk there will be plenty of maps available and people to assist.  Refreshments available.

Evening meal - we will be doing something different this year, and staying at the Winchester Family Centre and preparing our own meal which will be jacket potatoes with various fillings (beef mince, chicken, vegetarian) and salads and sweets. This will work out   cheaper than going to a pub even after covering the cost of the venue. If you would like to stay for the meal then please contact Linda before Tuesday 17th January so that she can plan for the meal.  And if you would like to contribute something to the meal (and we will cover costs of ingredients) also let Linda know.   Please also contact Linda if you plan to come on the walk.

(It is a fairly typical pub in these parts, with soup at £4.95 and mains at £10 and upwards.  There will be space outside to eat a picnic lunch).  Parking in Ladyplace car park will cost £4.80, but there are other car parks that only charge £2.90 and there is a chance that you could have free parking at the Maltings (about 6 mins walk away) if there are no events on during the day.  Please contact Ruth nearer the time about parking options.  Alton station is about 10 mins walk.
