The solid brass 'look and feel' of the product had greatly impressed the client, who had parted with his money in a posh chandlery in Cowes for the above nautical lights.   Inspection revealed that the 240V mains connections to be on the exposed terminal blocks adjacent to the lampholder. Changing a lamp would be best not entrusted to children, or those without a steady hand. In addition, the terminals are not marked, leading to the possibility of the layman connecting the brass body to a wire other than earth- ouch!
