This houseboat has no DC supply, and the above pump was fitted by the bathroom installer. You will note that the pump has no earth terminal, is not designed for immersion, and the in-line cable connection appears to be of the 'twist and tape' (and hope) variety.  In the event of a fault, chances of survival are reasonable- if the RCD trips OK- otherwise it's (shower) curtains!
