The entire boat, much to the concern of it's new owner,
was wired on a the AC side with no earth. As can be seen, the earthing
conductor was physically cut out of the power socket. We all know that
the system will work perfectly well without it of course- until there
is a fault, when an unfortunate person may become the electrical path
to ground.
The previous owner was a technician responsible for sophisticated power
equipment in the city.
