Graham Singleton has provided a picture of the revised tank fitting which he has made.

This spigots into the moulded boss on the fuel tank in the same way as the normal F09x fitting supplied by the factory, and is secured in the same way. It provides 3 ports, each threaded 1/8 NPT. These accomodate AN fittings (one supporting a drain valve in the picture, with the drain tube inside the tank fixed to the other arm of the AN elbow).
With one port for the feed pipe, this leaves the third for purposes such as a pressure-sensed fuel gauge or the sight gauge connection.
By way of comparison, here is a picture of the similar 2-port fittings which I have made for my own a/c - John Cliff.
