John & Hilary have been dancers for almost a life time! They met ballroom dancing and started folk dancing over 35 years ago.

John has been a Folk Dance Caller for over 30 years. Like many Callers, he got into calling by accident, standing in for the resident club caller who was working away from home. 'The rest', as they say, 'is history'. He calls for a wide variety of folk dance events, ranging from community barn dances, and club evenings, to public dances, ceilidhs, dances for the beginner as well as the enthusiast, festival workshops, dance weekends and folk dance holidays. In South Hampshire John & Hilary, run a 'New England Contra Dance' club, entitled 'Chilworth Contras'.
