John & Hilary have been dancers for almost a life time! They met ballroom dancing and started folk dancing over 35 years ago.

John has been a Folk Dance Caller for over 30 years. He calls for a wide variety of folk dance events, ranging from community barn dances, and club evenings, to public dances, ceilidhs, dances for the beginner as well as the enthusiast, festival workshops, dance weekends and folk dance holidays. 'The Light-hearted Dance Weekends' is a series of folk dance weekends organised & led by John & Hilary. The events are aimed at enthusiasts and are held at various locations around the country.      Nov 2010      Jan 2011

John & Hilary also lead folk dance holidays for 'HF Holidays' at various country houses around the UK, and also for Halsway Manor Society at their idyllic residential HQ in the Quantocks Hills, Somerset.

In South Hampshire John & Hilary, run a 'New England Contra Dance' club, entitled 'Chilworth Contras'.

John is also a member & former director of Halsway Manor Society , a charitable trust based at their idyllic residential centre in the Quantock Hills in Somerset.
