Monroe's Revenge
Here are some pictures of the band I was playing with from 1998 to 2003. "Monroe's" has been on the British bluegrass scene for about fifteen years, in one configuration or another. The current lineup is: Dave Plane, guitar, lead vocals; Joe Hymas, mandolin; Roger Blackbourn, banjo; Richard Partridge, fiddle; Dick Embery, bass. You can listen to the new band at YouTube by clicking here. |

Grass from the past!Dick Embery and I originally played in Chris Moreton's first band, Foggy Bottle Tops, pictured here at Lewisham, South London in 1976. Chris went on to become the undisputed flatpick guitar champion in UK. I played banjo in Foggy Bottle Tops. The mandolin player is Rick Killik, with his recently acquired A4 |
