VISIT TO SUFFOLK

SATURDAY 14 MAY 2005

9.00am                  Leave Charing
9.30am                  Leave Wrotham

11.15/11.30am       Royal Hospital School, Holbrook.
                             (Organ: 4 manual Hill. Norman & Beard in chapel).
                             Demonstration by Peter Crompton, Head of Music.
                             Opportunity for members to play.

1-2.00pm               Lunch.  We can picnic in the school grounds or there is a 7-8 minute walk to The Compasses in Holbrook where they do bar snacks and there is a restaurant. It would probably be better for the coach to remain at the school as there is not much parking in the village. Those at The Compasses could be picked up from there.                             

2.00pm                  Leave Holbrook

3.00pm                  Arrive St. Michael’s Church, Framlingham.
                             (Organ: Thomas Thamar (1674) – one of 8 cases that survived the
                             Civil War).
                             Demonstration of the organ.
4.00pm                  Leave Framlingham
4.30pm                  Tea at The Maltings, Snape (to be paid separately).
5.30pm                  Leave Snape.

7.30pm                  Arrive Wrotham.
8.00pm                  Arrive Charing.

Cost:                     £22 per person
