"The Langton Poems of Geoff Hooper"

Geoff Hooper was born and bred in Langton Matravers and it was whilst he was doing his National Service in the Royal Navy that he began to write poetry.  After National Service he worked in the stone industry and is a member of the Ancient Order of Marblers and Stone Cutters. He has written much poetry and this booklet contains a selection of those concerning Langton.

Twenty one of the Dorset Poems of the renowned Dorset clergyman and poet of the 19th. Century.
CD produced by the Society following the success of a number of "Barnes Evenings" when these and other poems were read in the vernacular by the Chairman of the Society, Reg. Saville and his brother  David Saville.  Both are natives of Langton Matravers, and are able to render these sometimes earthy poems in the authentic dialect.
