Deadman's Grave, Icklingham, Suffolk
As the stone curlews were no longer nesting,
as they were in 1998, we were able to go much further along the bridleway at Deadman's Grave.
There was a considerable amount of thyme growing beside the bridleway and in its centre
in very sandy flinty soil.

Thetford Warren Lodge, Norfolk
We found considerable changes at Thetford Warren Lodge since our visit in 1998.
There were very large areas of heather, which were taking over from the thyme and lichen.
