Thymus

I have more than 250 species and cultivars in my National Collection® of Thymus.
I usually have the following available for sale and sometimes other thymes are available in small quantities.

The mat forming thymes are suitable for planting between paving slabs and beside paths and for thyme lawns.  However thyme resents being walked on, so it is advisable to provide stepping stones if one wishes to walk across a thyme lawn.

Cut back flowering shoots after flowering to encourage new growth.  This will help to keep the plants compact and prevent them becoming straggly.  Thymes need good drainage and dislike winter wet, so add gravel to the soil and mulch with gravel.  They are also excellent grown in pots.
