Dwarf shrub with prostrate stems. Narrow hairy unscented leaves. Large clusters of
pale magenta-pink flowers.
Native of Turkey. Marginally hardy. Dislikes winter wet.
Grow in a pot and overwinter in frost-free greenhouse.
Many nurseries sell Thymus
caespititius under this name and describe it as smelling of pine resin or turpentine.
