CHURCH VISION

The following is an outline of the local vision for the Church as of Spring 2000. It is by no means complete, and may be subject to change. It's good for us to be aware of the direction in which we are going.

I. CHEDDAR VALLEY

The Church is committed to reaching the valley whilst recognising the biblical necessity of prayer, fellowship (breaking of bread), teaching, worship and evangelism for each Christian involved in the Church.

The Church will be structured around the Sunday Celebrations, Centre Groups, fellowship, prayer times and teaching.

We also recognise the need for Apostolic, Prophetic, Pastoral, Evangelistic, Teaching (Ephesians 4) Ministry.

We have established a Bible School (Nehemiah) in order to equip people for ministry (utilising recognised Teaching Ministry). This will change in form this year.

2. MISSIONS & PLANTING

Both these emphases are fundamental to the vision. (see relevant section)

3. UNITY WITH OTHER CHURCHES -THE WIDER MINISTRY

We already have relationship with local church leaders and church leaders in the Bristol area. John has a wider ministry that he wants to involve Church teams as appropriate.
