The Crooked Road was first heard on Clare FM in Ireland in 1994. It still runs there today, now presented by Tim Dennehy. The show transferred to the Stroud based RSL – EasyFM, where it ran for seven sets of broadcasts, clocking up over 140 editions. With the coming of a full time licence to Stroud, The Crooked Road took up a weekday evening slot on FM107 The Falcon and ran for two years. The show now runs on Swindon 105.5 FM.

Interviews have always been featured and leading roots artists like Simon Nichol from Fairport Convention and Maddy Prior from Steeleye Span are typical of the quality of guests that the programme attracts.
