Diagnostic Aids

The Isabel Diagnostic System

Mis-diagnosis of Strep A infections is a big problem. This is a clinical decision support tool that uses intelligent 'concept' mining of various medical source texts to suggest possible diagnoses given patient symptoms and other evidence available.

It is named after the daughter of one of the founders who suffered a mis-diagnosed Strep A complication of Chicken Pox, just like Conor. Thankfully in her case the error was spotted in time and she was saved.
