INTRODUCTION
– CHAIRMAN
The Chair was taken in the first instance by Councillor S J Boulton who
welcomed all members to the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council. He said that as his year of office was at an
end he would like to express his thanks to all members for their help and
support during the last year.
2.
DECLARATION
OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE
In accordance with the Parish
Councils Local Code of Conduct No. 3576, 2001 all Councillors then signed the
following:
a) Declaration of Acceptance of Office

b) Declaration of Acceptance of Office

c) Register of Interests
d) Gifts and Hospitality form
ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN
Councillor Boulton said that it was now necessary to elect a Chairman for the
coming year, 2007-2008. Councillor
Everard proposed and it was unanimously agreed that the yearly rotation of
wards (referred to in Minute No. 4,

Councillor Everard proposed that
Councillor K Pieri be elected as Chairman of the North Mymms Parish Council for
the forthcoming year. This was seconded
by Councillor S J Boulton and, there being no other nominations, was carried
unanimously.

That Councillor K Pieri is
elected as Chairman of the North Mymms Parish Council for the forthcoming year,
2007-2008.
ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE
Upon formally accepting the
office of Chairman for the forthcoming year, Councillor K Pieri signed the
official Declaration of Acceptance of Office Book and thanked all members for
the honour they had bestowed upon him.
4. ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN
In accordance with established
rotation procedures, it was proposed by Councillor C Everard and seconded by
Councillor W A Storey that Councillor Mrs J Boulton be appointed as
Vice-Chairman. There being no other
nominations, it was unanimously agreed that Councillor Mrs J Boulton be so
appointed.

It was resolved that Councillor Mrs
J Boulton be appointed as Vice-Chairman of the North Mymms Parish Council for
the forthcoming year, 2007-2008.
5. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
There were no apologies for
absence.

was resolved that the membership of the North Mymms Parish Council’s Committees
for the forthcoming year 2007-2008, should be the under-mentioned Councillors :

Councillor Everard was under the impression that the above committee
was appointed by the Parish Council. The
Clerk and Councillor Mrs J Boulton were requested to obtain clarification of
this.
CLERKS NOTE: John Potter, Clerk
to the Parish Charities, confirms that some members of the Committee are
nominated by the Parish Council and he will let us have documentation regarding
this, hopefully before the next full Council Meeting.

Before closing the meeting, the Chairman and members
congratulated Councillor Stephen J Boulton on his success on becoming elected
as the ward representative for the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.
