2.       MINUTES OF LAST MEETING

3.       MATTERS ARISING

a) Purchase of Land at Little Heath

Nothing to report.

b)  St Mary’s School Drainage Easement

Councillor Pieri said he was expecting a copy of the required drawing from Roger Dean, Chairman of the Board of Governors.

c)  Scouts Proposal for Easter Holiday

The Parish Council had received a report and thanks from the local scout leader for allowing the Easter Holiday Treasure Hunt at Gobions which successfully attracted almost 50 participants.

d)    Proposed Youth Shelter

Councillor Everard reported that the youth shelter was being erected on Wednesday 23 April 2008.

4.       ANY OTHER BUSINESS

i)       Application from an Allotment Tenant

Councillor Everard said that an allotment tenant had written in to request permission to keep four chickens on his allotment plot, using a poultry house approximately 36” high.

Following a discussion it was agreed that the tenant could keep the four chickens on his plot for a trial period of one year.

Councillor Mrs Travell declared an interest in the above and took no part in the discussion or decision.

ii)     Back Land at Little Heath

Following a suggestion it was reported that the back land at Little Heath was unsuitable for allotments due to water logging.

iii)    Tractor Shed Roof

The Clerk reported that the loss adjuster for the Zurich Insurance Company had suggested on his visit that day that the quotations for the repairs to the roof of the tractor shed were in fact an improvement on the old asbestos roof. He requested a quotation from J Farenden for supplying and fixing an updated version of corrugated heavy duty sheets which he implied the Insurance Company would be satisfied with.  He also intimated that the loss of the Council’s equipment would be met in full.
