MATTERS ARISING
a) Purchase
of Land at Little Heath
Nothing to report.
b) St Mary’s
School Drainage Easement
Councillor Pieri said he was expecting a copy of the
required drawing from Roger Dean, Chairman of the Board of Governors.
c) Scouts
Proposal for Easter
The Parish Council had received a report and thanks
from the local scout leader for allowing the Easter Holiday Treasure Hunt at
Gobions which successfully attracted almost 50 participants.

Proposed Youth
Shelter
Councillor Everard reported that the youth shelter was
being erected on

OTHER BUSINESS
i)
Application
from an Allotment Tenant
Councillor Everard said that an allotment tenant had
written in to request permission to keep four chickens on his allotment plot,
using a poultry house approximately 36” high.
Following a discussion it was agreed that the tenant
could keep the four chickens on his plot for a trial period of one year.
Councillor Mrs Travell declared an interest in the
above and took no part in the discussion or decision.
ii)
Following a suggestion it was reported that the back
land at Little Heath was unsuitable for allotments due to water logging.
iii)
Tractor Shed
Roof
The Clerk reported that the loss adjuster for the
Zurich Insurance Company had suggested on his visit that day that the
quotations for the repairs to the roof of the tractor shed were in fact an
improvement on the old asbestos roof. He requested a quotation from J Farenden
for supplying and fixing an updated version of corrugated heavy duty sheets
which he implied the Insurance Company would be satisfied with. He also intimated that the loss of the
Council’s equipment would be met in full.
