1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

MATTERS ARISING
a) Metal
Storage Box for Football Nets
The Clerk said that she had now written to the
Managing Director complaining about the condition of the storage box but had
not yet received a response.
b) Way Leave, St Mary’s Nursery
Councillor Everard said that he
and the Clerk had an appointment with the Head Teacher at St Mary’s School on
c) Extended Office Accommodation
Councillor Everard said that
he and the Clerk had met with an architect earlier in the day and he would be
providing costing of the proposed extension and fees for the preparation of the
plans in due course.
d) Parked Vehicles in
The Clerk said she had
reported this problem to WHBC who had responded to say that the Parish Council
should contact the police regarding the parking problem which she has done.
e) Vandalism to Youth Shelter
The Clerk said that the
police had responded to her request for their presence and the area by the
youth shelter had now been checked several times.
Councillor Everard said that
he had reported the problem to the local police at a meeting of the
Neighbourhood Watch and also received a positive response and would bring some
copies of the
Councillor Weeks said that he
had received in error several copies of a Neighbourhood Watch leaflet for the
Welham Green area and would bring these into the office for circulation to all
Councillors also.
Councillor Storey said he had
an e-mail address for the Neighbourhood Watch in
f) Access Road to Gobions Open Space
The Clerk said that she had
responded to a letter from the Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust confirming
that pot holes in the car park had already been attended to but the Council is
still waiting for a response regarding the state of the access road following
their inspection.
4. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
a) Charges for the Councils Facilities
The Clerk said that the North
Mymms Football Club played two teams on the Welham Green Football Pitch for the
annual season rate of £800 at the rate of one game per week over 20-22
weeks. As the junior team recently booked
for the season 2009-2010 would be playing 9-10 home games it was agreed that
they would pay half the senior rate at a cost of £400 and this could be paid in
instalments providing it was fully paid by the end of February 2010.
b) Play Equipment
The Clerk said that she has
been requesting estimates for the following play equipment and it was suggested
that these should be referred to the next full council meeting for discussion:

2 extra pieces of play equipment at Little Heath, a
toddler unit and cone climber
·
2 replacement pieces of play equipment at Welham
Green, a toddler unit and toddler swings and
·
1 larger unit for juniors to replace the back swings,
junior swings and igloo in Welham Green as these pieces were over 40 years old
and corroded.
The Clerk said that she would
be trying to obtain funding from various organisations against these costs when
estimates had been obtained and approved.
