Pieri and W A Storey had attended a meeting on behalf of the Parish Council on
Tuesday 13 November to discuss Special Expenses and it had been agreed that the
system applied at present was the best that could be managed.
4. ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT
A Schedule of Accounts for Payment totalling £14,283.97 inclusive of Imprest Expenditure of £258.77 was presented. After careful consideration of each item it was agreed that the total amount be recommended to Council for approval and payment in full.
An additional amount as under was discussed and was also being recommended to Council for approval and payment, bringing the total of Accounts for Payment to £14,333.97:

BUDGET/PRECEPT
2008-2009
The Chairman said that, as arranged at the last meeting, he had
circulated to all Councillors a Schedule of the Council’s estimated income and
expenditure for the next financial year, and based upon earlier discussion with
members of the Council and a budget meeting held on
Following a discussion it was agreed that the precept against Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council should be increased by 2.5% to £175,100 for 2008-2009 and this was being recommended to full council for approval.
It was proposed and unanimously agreed that a vote of thanks be recorded to Councillor Storey for his work and guidance in preparing the budget/precept figures for approval.

NATIONAL PAY
NEGOTIATIONS
The Finance
Committee had been advised that notification had been received from the National
Joint Council that agreement had been reached on pay scales and provided for an
increase of 2.474% on pay and allowances for the Clerk and Groundsmen from
Councillor W A Storey proposed,
and it was unanimously agreed, to recommend to Council the above increases,
