7.         ANY OTHER BUSINESS

a)  WELWYN HATFIELD BOROUGH COUNCIL PLANNING COMMITTEE    

 

It was noted that the Parish Council had received Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council Planning News update and a questionnaire.

b)  HERTSMERE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK

 

Councillor Horrocks said he had read the Hertsmere Local Development Framework on social housing which did not appear to concern the Parish Council.  However, it was noted that they were planning 15 dwellings per ½ hectare.

 

 

c)      LETTER FROM PARISHIONER – EXTENSION TO SERVICE STATION

 

 Cllr Horrocks had prepared and circulated a response from the Parish Council to the concerned parishioner regarding the planned extension to the service station in Dellsome Lane.  Following discussion it was agreed that the letter should be sent assuring the parishioner that the Parish Council is endeavouring to do its best on behalf of the residents of North Mymms.

d)     8 GEORGES WOOD ROAD

 

Following concern it was noted that the pillars to the front boundary wall being built at the above property were of the permitted height.

 

e)     LAND OFF TRAVELLERS LANE

 

Cllr Mrs Boulton said that an advertisement in the Welwyn Hatfield Times dated 19 March 2008 concerned a planning application for a site on land off Travellers Lane for the storage of car parts.

 

f)        BIFFA WASTE HANDLING

 

Councillor Mrs Race advised that she had noted that the planning application for waste handling on the above site had changed, possibly to include the acoustic wall.
