2.       MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING

 

          Minutes of a Planning Committee meeting held on 19 March 2008 were adopted by the full council at their meeting on 26 March 2008.

 

3.       MATTERS ARISING

 

Land off Travellers Lane  -  Members of the HCC Development Control Committee met on site on Monday 7 April 2008 to discuss the application for the recycling of automotive waste and found that no acoustics would be necessary as the noise would be below that originally expected and it seemed the movement of HGV’s would be no more than usual.

*   Councillor Horrocks declared that he is Honorary Secretary of the North Mymms Green Belt Society.

 

 

7.       ANY OTHER BUSINESS

a) Planning for Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation in the East of England

 

A draft response form prepared by Councillor Horrocks had been circulated to all Councillors for approval and it was agreed to submit this form in its entirety to Go-East.

 

A vote of thanks to Councillor Horrocks for his work in preparing the response was proposed and unanimously agreed.

 

b)    Future Planning Meetings

 

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council informed the Parish Council that the Government had reduced the consultation period on planning applications and neighbour, Parish & Town Councils now had only 21 days to respond.

 

This new ruling has affected future planning dates and following a discussion, revised dates were agreed and the updated timetable will be circulated to all Councillors and displayed on all parish notice boards.

          A meeting has been arranged for Wednesday 30 April 2008 following the full council meeting.
