3. MATTERS ARISING
Biffa – Councillor Mrs Race said that Biffa had now changed
hands but that still nothing had been done to erect barriers and soundproofing
as agreed with the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council Planning request. As the three months time limit would expire
at the end of September she would be monitoring the situation closely and if
necessary report the absence of any action to Mr Jefcoate.

6. APPEALS
Tanum
Farm – Councillor Horrocks said that the appeal had been completed but the
decision is not yet available.
7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
a)
An enforcement
notice had been recommended to Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council to rectify the
breach of planning control.
b) Woodside Stables/Linden Lodge
It
was agreed to write and enquire what progress had been made following the
serving of an enforcement order to stop unauthorised activities at the stables
and Linden Lodge.
c)
A
letter had been written to the enforcement officer by Councillor Weeks
regarding the pillars that had been erected at the above address. A similar
situation had arisen when he had been Chairman of the Georges Wood Road
Frontagers Association and a copy of this correspondence would be circulated to
all Councillors for information.
d) BT’s Proposal to Re-Align Payphone
Provision
A
letter had been received from Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council regarding BT’s
proposal to remove two payphones in the parish.
It
was agreed to write and ask BT to reconsider the removal of the payphone on the
corner of Holloways Lane because of its close proximity to the train station and
exiting passengers.
