6.         ANY OTHER BUSINESS

i)  An anonymous letter had been sent to Councillor Horrocks alleging commercial trading in The Gardens, Brookmans Park.  It was agreed to send the letter to the Enforcement Officer at Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.

ii)  A query was raised regarding a house on the corner of Dixons Hill Road and Knolles Crescent having a huge driveway being paved, possibly contrary to new Planning Regulations that came into force on 1 October 2008 limiting paving to 5 square metres.  It was agreed that this work had commenced well before the new regulations came into force.

iii) Councillor Mrs Boulton reported that at a recent meeting of Borough, Parish & Town Councils, Mr Conway had said that the Planning Training arranged by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council for 29 September 2008 had been cancelled through lack of interest and a new date would be arranged.

She also advised that there were continuing problems with the Governments Planning Portal and paper copies of plans would still be circulated for some time to come.  Mr Conway had said that options were still being considered about how the plans would be viewed when the paper copies were phased out and discussion had taken place about the possible provision of A3 printers to all Parish & Town Councils.

7.         DATE OF NEXT MEETING

A meeting has already been arranged for Wednesday 29 October 2008, following a full council meeting.

Meeting closed at 9.23 pm
