2.       MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING

 

          Minutes of Planning Committee meetings held on 26 November and 17 December 2008 had been agreed and adopted by the Council at an earlier meeting.

5.       ANY OTHER BUSINESS

 

          a)  East of England Plan

 

It was noted that the consultation period had now closed and 17 pitches for Gypsies and Travellers would still have to be found in Welwyn Hatfield.

 

b)  Hertsmere Local Development Framework – Core Strategy

 

Councillor Horrocks advised that the Core Strategy had been approved by the Committee on 19 November 2008 for submission to the Secretary of State.

 

It was agreed that Councillor R Horrocks would draft a response maintaining this Councils objection to encroachment of the Green Belt between Potters Bar and Brookmans Park before the consultation period ends on 2 February 2008.

 

c)  WHBC Implementation of Consult Online Software

 

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is running a brief demonstration of the above new system at 3pm on 20 January 2009 in the Tower Room at Campus West and it was agreed that Councillors Mrs J Boulton, V Weeks, R Horrocks, W A Storey and the clerk would attend this.

          A meeting has already been arranged for Wednesday 28 January 2009 following a full Council Meeting that commences at 8 pm.
