PLANNING PORTAL
Councillor Mrs Boulton pointed out that at the
meeting of Welwyn Hatfield Association of Local Councils held on 25 February it
was noted that councils still need paper copies of planning applications until
equipment requirements are sorted out.
Later, Welwyn Hatfield Council confirmed that paper copies will still be
supplied. They also confirmed that
further training for the Clerk in particular, and other councillors, is
available and that the Clerk should contact Tracy Harvey at Welwyn Hatfield
Council.
Woolmer Green and Welwyn Parish Councils kindly
agreed to give advice to other councils and to demonstrate their equipment as
they are well ahead with compliance with e-planning.
A discussion took place about North Mymms
Parish Council’s laptop computer being kept in the office so that it would be
available for planning committee meetings, linked to a projector in order to
view plans and application forms on a screen.
