1.         APOLOGIES

           

            Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Mrs J Boulton and P Hastings.

 

2.         MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING

 

            Minutes of a Planning Committee meeting held on 5 August 2009 are due to be presented to the full Council at its next meeting on 30 September.

 

3.         WHBC DECISIONS

 

As the North Mymms Parish Council had not received any decision notifications since the last meeting of the Planning Committee it was agreed that the Clerk would contact WHBC to investigate the matter.

a Councillors C Everard, V Weeks and R Horrocks declared an interest in this application as committee members of the North Mymms Green Belt Society and took no part in either discussion or decision.

 

 

5.         ANY OTHER BUSINESS

 

a)  2 Bradmore Way –  Councillor Horrocks maintained this Council’s objection at a meeting of the WHBC Planning Control on 6 August 2009 but permission was given for this application.

 

b)  16 Brookmans Avenue – Councillor Horrocks again maintained this Council’s objection at the above meeting and the application was refused.

 

c)  Rookery Cafe  -  At the above meeting an enforcement notice was authorised for all activity except the café on this site.

 

d)  WHBC DataSpace and Planning Portal Websites

 

The North Mymms Parish Council attempted to hold their first paperless Planning Meeting on Wednesday 19 August 2009 at 8pm but was unable to access the DataSpace or Planning Portal due to a ‘server error’.

 

It was agreed that the Clerk would write to Mr Conway expressing this Council’s annoyance and frustration that neither data base was accessible.

 

As all of the Planning Committee meetings are held on a Wednesday at 8pm, the Clerk was asked to request why the databases were unavailable and to say that if they were not going to be available for their next meeting planned for 9 September 2009, then paper copies should continue to be circulated.

 

6.         DATE OF NEXT MEETING

 

            A meeting has already been arranged for Wednesday 9 September 2009 following a meeting of the Amenities and Building Development Committee that commences at 8 pm.
