AMENITIES COMMITTEE

 

TERMS OF REFERENCE –updated 25th May 2011

 

1                 To oversee the management and maintenance of the Council's land and buildings in conjunction with the Clerk of the Council.

 

2                 Review from time to time the activities of the three groundsmen jointly with the Clerk and to make recommendations for improvement to work practice.

 

3                 To monitor from time to time with the Clerk the extent of clearance and ground maintenance of its land holding and ensure that standards are being maintained.

 

4                 To draw up and monitor a programme of decoration and maintenance to buildings.

 

5                 To present a short report at full Council meetings on studies undertaken in order to gain approval for the proposals to be carried out

 

6                 To review from time to time the use and enjoyment of the Council's recreational facilities and bring forward recommendations for improvement and enlargement of facilities.
