Pat was born in Liverpool in 1962 and showed her artistic leanings from an early age. After a childhood spent drawing, she took up painting in her late teens. Largely self-taught, she works mainly in gouache and feels equally at home with scenic, figurative and illustrative subjects.

Pat was twice short-listed for the Daily Mail Not The Turner Prize (a national competition held in the UK in 2003 and 2004 to celebrate representational painting) and her work has been exhibited at London's prestigious Mall Galleries.
