"Heroes of Mine"

My fascination for Mines Rescue has developed from an initial delve into my family's history. The stories and information gleaned during this research has, over the years, only served to increase my desire to learn more and has also generated a deep respect for those gallant rescuers who were prepared to risk their lives to save their comrades.

I have amassed much information which I intend to compile into a reference book and hope to publish later in 2005. To be entitled "Heroes of Mine" the book will cover the history of the Mines Rescue Service from the early 1900s and detail the influence that events in World War I had on it's development. Included will be much detail about the individual heroes, the awards and the stories about the major disasters.

To help me to gauge the interest in this subject I would appreciate receiving an e-mail from those of you who would consider buying a copy. A registration of interest at this stage does not commit you to buying a copy of the book.
