One of our chief fundraising efforts has been an Annual Fete held in June each year. This is a very jolly occasion with lots of stalls, teas, music, games, raffles, plants for sale, cakes, and lots more. This year we held a coffee morning instead which proved very successful.

These are two of the stalls from our 2002 fete.

On Jubilee Monday (3rd June 2002) we had a stall at the street party in the High Street, Lowestoft. Some of the helpers are pictured here.

In the Autumn a fundraising Concert of Mirth and Melody is organised by Joan Cudmore, the wife of our President, a very popular event enjoyed by one and all, usually culminating in a grand sing-song.

In 2001 our President, Charles Cudmore, who is also a founder member, produced a booklet entitled "We've got it Taped" - 21 years of the Sound East story, which is available at the modest price of £3.00, including postage and packing, from Joan Cudmore at 26 Higher Drive, Lowestoft NR32 3DA. (cheques should be made payable to "Sound East")

At Sound East we have a scheme called "Friends of Sound East" whereby people donate an annual sum (minimum of £5) - although of course any amount is welcome - and receive Newsletters about our activities at regular intervals, usually four times a year. To join our Friends scheme please contact Mrs.D.Duffield, 110 Beccles Road,Lowestoft, NR33 8QY.
We are able to claim back income tax, if you pay it, on both Friends' donations and other donations by means of the Gift Aid scheme.

If you would like to make a donation and are an income tax payer in the U.K. click on the link to Gift Aid where there is a form which you can print out and send to us.
We are of course very grateful for any donation - you don't have to be an income tax payer to make your donation, however small, very welcome.
