Wedding Photography
Your wedding day is a very special day, which you have planned for a long time and you will remember for ever. But after all that planning, when the day is over, the cake is cut, the guests have gone home and all the presents are unwrapped and put away, what do you have left? Your memories. But memories fade and you need something to rekindle the magic of that wonderful day - your wedding photographs.
For over 30 years we have been photographing weddings, for 25 years as qualified members of The British Institute of Professional Photographers, from our old Culcheth, and Tyldesley studios. We offer a personal, friendly service and do not ‘sub-contract’ our weddings to a nameless face who suddenly appears on your big day. We are pleased to discuss our services and advise you on any aspect of your wedding.
We offer coverage of your wedding at prices to suit most budgets. These consist of packages which can be tailored to suit your individual requirements. You may have a good idea of the photographs which you want or you may need help. We will be pleased to offer any guidance and assistance which you may need.
Each collection for the Bride and Groom is a complete package, including photography at the wedding venue, your reception and a visit to a local park or beauty spot should you wish. Your chosen photographs will be enlarged to either 8”x 6” or 10”x 8” (depending on the collection chosen) and mounted in the ‘Traditional’ wedding album of your choice.* Although our ‘Traditional’ range of albums is of very high quality, you may wish to extend your choice by upgrading to one of our ‘Craftsman’ albums.
Your wedding photography starts with a casual chat at our studio a week before your wedding so that we may discuss your requirements and ensure that we are up to date with your final arrangements. We will then photograph your wedding, and about ten days later supply you with an album of proof photographs, so that you may make your choice for your finished album. You may take this home to view at your leisure and pass around your friends and is yours to keep when your choices have been made.
Your chosen photographs will be professionally printed on genuine lustre finish photographic paper for quality and longevity. There may be a single print on a page, or a combination of smaller photographs, in either ‘standard’ or ‘magazine’ style and finished with a suitable page overlay. For pricing purposes, combinations of smaller photographs on a single page are classed as a single photograph. Your album may include black & white, sepia or special effects and will be completed with a personalised title page (except Storybook Collections).

For the Bride and Groom
Each service for the Bride and Groom is a complete package. It starts with a casual chat at our studio a week before your wedding so that we can discuss your requirements and make sure that we are up to date with your final arrangements. We can then photograph your wedding accordingly. From the photographs taken we will supply an album of proof photographs, so you may make your choice for your album and reprints. You may take this home to view at your leisure, pass around your family & friends. This proof album is yours to keep when your choices have been made.
Your chosen photographs will then be professionally printed on genuine lustre finish photographic paper (for quality and longevity) for your finished wedding album. They may be a single print or combination of smaller photographs and will be finished with a suitable overlay (combinations of smaller photographs on a single page, are classed as a single photograph). Your album is then completed with a personalised title page.
Copper Collection
We will take up to 30 photographs, and mount 15 in your album.

Storybook Collection
The ‘Storybook’ collection offers a choice from superb Italian styled hand bound Wedding Books made using the latest printing and binding techniques. They are available in a choice of covers (leather, silk, contemporary transparent or classic leatherette), colours and sizes from 10”x 8” up to a massive 20”x 16”, with between 30 and 100 pages, with your photographs printed onto the pages. With matching books for Parents Friends and Relations, the choices and styles of this collection are endless, making a truly unique record of your wedding. The price of this Collection varies depending on your particular choice, therefore we will be pleased to quote for your particular storybook. Prices from £999.00
Attendance at The Bride’s home

We are happy to attend the Bride’s home prior to the wedding to take both formal and informal photographs of the preparations. We do not include this service in our packages as we feel that it is unfair to clients who do not want a photographer getting underfoot at this time and would not wish to take advantage of this service. We therefore charge for this as an additional £75.00 for all collections.
Extra Prints
Extra prints are available, these are priced separately in a variety of presentation types and sizes. We can also provide ‘Thank You’ cards incorporating photographs of the Bride & Groom.
For Parents, Relations and Friends
Souvenir albums are available which are inscribed ‘Our Daughter's Wedding’, ‘Our Son's Wedding’ or ‘Wedding’ in a range of sizes and finishes.
Picture Frames
Due to the wide choice and range available, we do not include picture frames in our prices. We stock a wide range of frames in a variety of styles and prices and will be happy to quote for your particular needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to photograph a wedding? - It depends on the service you choose and your requirements. We will be pleased to take your photographs at your wedding venue or go with you to a local beauty spot. This, of course, takes longer. Please allow adequate time for your photographs to be taken. Remember it is easier to kill time than make it!
Who actually takes the photographs? - Unlike some studios, we do not sub-contract our wedding services to some stranger who turns up on your wedding day. Before your big day we are available to discuss your requirements (most couples usually call in the week before) and to get to know you a little better so that you will be more relaxed on your photographs.
What if I want something not covered in the price guide? With the best will in the world no one can draw up a price guide to suit everyone. We will be pleased to quote for a service drawn up to your specific requirements.
Can I see your work? - Of course you can. Please call in to see examples of our work and samples of wedding albums and photograph presentation (including frames).
Why should I use a professional photographer when I have friends with cameras? - A good question, but are your friends experienced in dealing with a large group of guests, a variety of locations, the varying joys of the British climate and still get you to your reception before the soup gets burnt? A professional photographer is experienced in all these things and more! Our work has been approved and accepted for qualifications by the British Institute of Professional Photographers.
Will you take more photographs? - If you wish we will quote for as many extra photographs as you want. Remember that taking professional photographs, rather than ‘snap-shots' (leave these to your guests) takes time. Remember this, when comparing this price guide with those of other photographers. Averaging about 1½ minutes per photograph, to set-up and take 120 different photographs properly, could take about three hours!!
How far do you travel? – We are prepared to travel a reasonable distance and have covered weddings at both Windermere and Chester at no extra charge. However we reserve the right to make a reasonable charge for extra travel and other expenses should your wedding take place over 50 miles from our studio. Please check with us.
Are you insured? - Yes. we carry full professional indemnity insurance. If you are comparing prices with other photographers ask if they are insured. Many are not.
Do you have any qualifications? - Yes. Our photographer’s work has been examined and approved by the prestigious 'British Institute of Professional Photographers', and has been granted the qualification of Licentiate of the Institute. Many photographers are simply members of the Institute, or lesser bodies. Many have no qualifications at all.
Why do you supply a proof album? - Simple, we do not like high-pressure marketing and do not practise it ourselves. We believe in giving our clients time to choose in their own home, with family or friends, not in a viewing room at a studio with a commission based assistant forcing your orders.
Why are your proofs stamped on the front? – Regrettably with today’s digital scanning technology, some people will order the minimum from a photographer and illegally produce poor quality copies. Under the 1988 Design, Patents and Copyright Act, it is illegal to copy a photographer's work without permission. We will be pleased to produce as many copies of your favourite photographs as you wish. Our prices compare favourably with other photographers
How do I pay? - We accept all major credit cards (subject to a 2% surcharge) and debit cards. We also accept old-fashioned cheques and currency. You may also spread your costs by paying weekly or monthly up to the date of your wedding. Due to the personal nature of photography payment for all orders (reprints, souvenir albums etc.), must be made at the time of placing the order as costs for uncollected orders cannot by offset by resale. Work will not commence on orders until full payment is made.
