The next John Warner Memorial Award competition will take place on Saturday 13th March, 2010 in the Recital room at Edes House, West Street, Chichester and will be open to singers aged 19 to 29 on that date.

The award money totals £1500, divided into First Prize of £1000 and a Second Prize of £500, to be used for further vocal training/tuition as approved.
The winner of the First Prize will also be offered a performance in the 2011 Chichester Festivities, one of the South of England's leading Arts Festivities which takes place traditionally during the early part of July each year.

The competition itself will take the form of a Recital Class, with singers being required to present a programme  - maximum performing time 20 minutes - including one each of the following:-

                a) Lieder
                b) English song
                c) French song

The entry fee is £25 and entries will be accepted up to Monday 15th February 2010 unless fully subscribed before that date.
It is assumed that singers will bring their own accompanist
