THE PUPIL LEVEL ANNUAL SCHOOLS CENSUS

The DfES scooped the prize for 'MOST HEINOUS GOVERNMENT ORGANISATION' in the 2002 Big Brother Awards, in recognition of the appalling invasions of privacy that the School Census represents, and for its plans to build a UK-wide tracking database for children and young people

• Contact your MP urgently - if you don't know who that is, click here. Fax your MP here - Ask him/her why these plans have not been made public, and why children and those of us who care for them have not been consulted. What we want is an open, public discussion
  

• Talk to your school governors and headteacher
  

• Make sure that other people know what is happening
  

• Write to newspapers and radio stations - local or national
