The International Wine & Food Society is a non profit making organisation, founded in 1933, with the aim of raising the standard of selection, preparation and service of good food and wine. We have over 7,000 members in 150 branches world-wide who meet regularly to enjoy a wide range of social gatherings. Members of all ages have a common objective, to learn more about food and wine and enjoy the pleasures of the table. Meetings are mainly informal occasions where both couples and unattached members can dine out in comfort.

Membership of the International Wine & Food Society.

Membership single £40 per annum Joint £52 per annum

Young members age 18 – 36 - single £20 per annum, joint £26 per annum.

Some branches charge an extra branch membership but once you have joined the Society

CAPITAL BRANCH membership is free.

When you fill in your membership form just indicate CAPITAL BRANCH and there will be no further charge.

THE CAPITAL BRANCH is based in London and the surrounding area. We are committed to banishing wine snobbery, the emphasis is very much on value for money, friendly and informative gatherings. Dinners, tastings, experiments in food and wine matching, comparing home produced and convenience foods, and many other interesting and unusual events. The Society also looks at food scares and health issues from an independent viewpoint. We visit restaurants, catering colleges, food manufacturing establishments and vineyards to widen our knowledge of production processes.

If you are interested in food and wine, whether socially or business wise the Society has something to offer you. For those that travel membership enables you to participate in branch events world-wide. We have many professionals as members, masters of wine, chefs, restaurateurs’ etc all of whom enjoy the many advantages of membership.
