1st XI A Ocean
Promoted from Division 3 last year, Ocean play at Brighton Park, Wilson Avenue, Brighton.
This year's
team: Awcock, Burroughs J. (captain), Burroughs M., Burroughs P., Deponio, Dibble M., Etheridge, Fish L., Joyce, Mead, Nelson.
Ocean 137 off 41.5 overs: Peter Burroughs 2-31, Martin Dibble 2-22, George Mead 2-14, Michael Burroughs 4-25.
Billingshurst 82 all out: Ally Awcock 22no.
A poor start to a season when hopes were high for a top place.

2nd XI H Littlehampton and Clapham and Patching 4
Team: Bryder, Bizewski, Broughton, Lehan, Lusted, Moss N., Oliffe, Ridout, Southward (captain), Tow, Venn S.
Littlehampton had a strong team; their second XI did not have a game; and 108 from opener Ward saw them powering to 263-8.
Ian Lusted, 1-57, and Andy Broughton spun creditably, and David Tow collected 4-65 from an assortment of deliveries. Richard Ridout bowled his first (and last?) over for the club, most of them on the next pitch. Chris Bizewski 1-25, Nick Moss 1-43.
No man of the match, but Magic Moment number 1 was the run out by John Lehan ,at speed, from distance, with one stump to aim at.
Good tea.
We were all out for 66, with Ian Lusted not out, yet again, but providing Magic Moment number 2, pulling a six over the wall.
