StMary's Church has served the Selly Oak community as its local Anglican Parish Church since the 1860's.   It is a place where God is worshipped, where faith in modern life can be explored and where people can bring their troubles and their joys.  We are always pleased to welcome new people into our committees to help organise church life.

Children and young people are nurtured through the Junior Church and a number of lively youth organisations.   Other activities such as concerts, discussion groups and ramble, suitable for all age groups take place.   We are fortunate to welcome into our congregation students and clergy visiting from around the world to attend the University.  Students preparing for the ministry regularly have an opportunity to share in leading worship and preaching as part of their training.

Aprintable leaflet, entitled "Information for New Members" can be downloaded.  This leaflet should help you to find out what you want to know, like times of services and how to book a marriage or baptism.  It also gives details of meetings and organisations based at St Mary's.

God bless you.

Jim Cox was Collated and Inducted
as the vicar of St Mary's on Friday 4 September.
