The comment in Harrison (1937a) that this species is “rare and local, Screapadal, Hallaig, the ravine near Storab's Grave” was modified to “much more abundant” by the finding of further sites north of Fearns and by Loch Eadar da Bhaile (Harrison & Morton, 1951).

A small population showing no signs of regeneration.  Fruited well in 1977 (KC), 1991 and 2007 (SJB). Loch Groidean NCCLS 1989.  This last record is definitely an error as the site only contains unusually broad-leaved S. angustifolium conf. CDKC.
