This site seeks to coordinate and not to duplicate information that is publicly available. There are extensive links to information at other www sites. An overview of the industry activity including information bulletins and presentations may be found at the OGP Web Site that is provided by the Standards Committee of the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (OGP).
Scope
Background information to complement official websites, and providing context and links.
Internet Service and Web Space Hosts
The main pages of "A
Standards Web Site" are also hosted at btconnect by Graham Thomas
(username: thomasgan) sponsored by BP. btconnect, part of the UK
telecoms company BT, is the fourth host
for these pages. The first incarnation of this site
was
hosted by Tripod in the UK, but some company firewalls did not allow access, due
to pop-up advertising. The second was Waitrose (the UK supermarket
offering free webspace) and the third, from 2002-2006, was ADDR for a monthly
fee.
The direct URL of ASWS is http://www.standardsline.net/
and the full URL is:
http://home.btconnect.com/thomasgan/standardsline/asws/home.htm
URL's that use "addr", "waitrose" or "tripod" will not longer work, please use the new address above.
The TC67
Portal (direct URL: http://www.tc67.net/
) is hosted by the Secretariat of ISO/TC67 at API, the full URL is:

Most of this site uses Frames. The side Menu Bar remains on the left, while information is displayed to the right. Therefore most links to other (external) web sites are made to open a New Window in your browser. When you are finished with an external site, close the browser window (by clicking on the "x" in the top right corner of the window).
Longer pages such as this one also
include hot links embedded in the page for fast navigation, viz:

If you are viewing a page in the same window, or if you arrive at a "framed" page without the Menu Bar, click on the "Back" button in the browser toolbar to return.
Hot links embedded in text (or
self-standing) are underlined, and normally appear in colour 'Aqua' (bright blue-green) on
a dark background, or in colour blue on a light background; click on the text to link.
Buttons on this web site have a yellow-gold background with underlined text in colour
'Navy' (dark blue); click on the text to link.
Most files on this site are HTML
files. Some are PDF, these require Adobe Acrobat Reader, that may be dowloaded free
from Adobe's WWW site. Some browsers do
not automatically invoke Acrobat Reader when you click the link, then you get a blank
screen. You could check your WIndows Explorer settings under <View>
<Folder Options>, select the <File Types> tab, make sure that "Adobe
Acrobat Document" is a registered document, select it and click on <Edit...>.
In the Actions box select "open" then click on <Edit...> and make
sure that the Application Used is Acrobat Reader, normally with file name
"...pathspec...\AcroRd32.exe" "%1". (the "%1" is
related to opening the application). Then check the box to Use DDE, and enter DDE Message:
[FileOpenEx("%1")], application: acroview, topic: control.
Or, the easy work-around is to download the file to your hard drive (C: drive, or
network), then you can open it with whatever software you can. Right-click on the
link to get the menu with the download option - Internet Explorer offers the option to
"Save Target As ...".
The Menu Bar serves in place of a site map. There are numerous interlinks between pages on this site and to related sites. And the 'Back' button in the browser toolbar is useful.
Every effort will be made to maintain this site up-to-date with the latest, and accurate, information and links. You, dear reader, can also help, please Contact Us (and see Menu Bar) if you have something to offer, or if you notice anything out of date or missing.
Problems
If you experience any links not working, or you get stuck on a page and can not return, or if you find any other "bugs" please Contact Us (and see Menu Bar) detailing the problem web page and action. Thank you.
