Chrishall museum is a fascinating collection of artifacts and documents gathered over the years by Mrs Irene Cranwell, the Village Historian. Mrs Cranwell has taken part in many BBC Radio Cambridgeshire programmes commenting on life in Essex villages in years gone by. Her son in law, Mr Fred Davies, converted a caravan to accommodate the artifacts and is now based in Crawley End, Chrishall with viewing by appointment only, although it is sometimes open to the public on Bank Holidays.
