joining a course
This year, a course will not start unless the minimum number of people needed for it to run (12) have expressed interest in joining it. So if a course interests you IT IS ESSENTIAL that you telephone committee members Pauline Nelson (01293 784059) or Michael Lane (01342 842197) by the date indicated against each course. This does not commit you to joining it but it will tell us whether or not a course can be opened. IF YOU JUST 'TURN UP' FOR THE FIRST MEETING OF A COURSE WITHOUT TELEPHONING BEFOREHAND YOU MAY FIND THAT IT HAS ALREADY BEEN CANCELLED.

You are welcome to sample a meeting without being under any obligation to enrol. Each course will need 12 enrolled members for it to run.

The fee for courses of 20 meetings may be paid in two parts. In this case, the first half of the fee is to be paid on enrolment and the balance is to be paid at the same time with a cheque post-dated to 1st December 2011 accompanied by a cheque guarantee card.

fee remission
If you are in receipt of certain means-tested benefits or Jobseekers Allowance, or if you are unwaged and dependent on someone who is in receipt of any of them, you are eligible to enrol for certain WEA courses free of charge. You will be asked to provide proof of receipt of the benefit when you enrol.
