Keith Jack, runner up in the search for a Joseph on the BBC’s Any
Dream Will Do, is offering his fans the opportunity to get Up Close and
Personal at The Cross Hands Public Hall this July, when he performs a
special one off concert.
The young Edinburgh-born star, who is currently starring in the title
role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in a UK tour, is
taking the opportunity to perform a selection of his favourite songs as
well as some new ones. He will also invite questions from the audience
in this intimate concert, in what is sure to be a real treat for fans.
Since narrowly missing out to winner Lee Mead on Any Dream Will Do,
Keith has toured in the Bill Kenwright production of
Joseph, appeared in panto at His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen and
most recently at the King’s Theatre, Glasgow alongside Clare
Grogan and Karen Dunbar, performed alongside John Barrowman on his
album and at the Hammersmith Apollo, and at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s
Birthday concert as part of Proms in the Park.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There will be no cinema from Friday 29th June as volunteers will be taking a well earned summer break. Films will re-start mid July (check out Cinema website, newspapers and quad notice boards for further details). For die-hard fans of the ‘Alien’ franchise and Ridley Scott, **Prometheus** is one film we are sure to be showing!
Did you know that Cross Hands Public Hall & Cinema is run by a very
small group of volunteers and also, as a charity organization, has a
trustee committee?
If it was not for this small group of people, you would not have a local
cinema and live theatre venue.
Would you like to dedicate just 3 hours of your week to come and help
out? Perhaps you would like to train up as the ticket booth person,
help in the shop or even train up as a projectionist?
This hall dates back to 1926 and was built by the Miner’s Welfare
Institute for the community and is still run by the community.
We are not affiliated with any of the multi-plex cinemas and not owned
by the Local Authority—please come and support your Welsh history.
